Amitabh Bachchan joins the ISPL as a team owner of Mumbai

Amitabh Bachchan has officially announced his association with the Indian Street Premier league (ISPL) as the proud owner of the Mumbai team,
The ISPL is considered India’s pioneer Tennis ball T10 cricket tournament to be played in a stadium. The inaugural edition will take place in Mumbai from March 2 to 9 and will feature 19 high-intensity matches across six teams.

A press release highlighted that this unique tournament aims to provide a platform for players who have honed their skills on the streets and makeshift courts. The aim of the ISPL is to bring these talents into the formal arena and give them the opportunity to showcase their cricketing skills in front of a worldwide audience.

Bachchan expressed his excitement about this new venture and took to his personal blog to share his thoughts. He stated:

“A new day… and a new company… It is an honor and a privilege for me to be a team owner at Mumbai and to witness the talent emerging for a great, visionary future.”

Bachchan described the ISPL as an exciting and noble concept that offers players an opportunity to move from the streets and lanes to professional teams. The 81-year-old actor expressed his excitement at seeing the talent that came from the streets now performing in formal performances before a global audience.

Recently, fellow actor Akshay kumar And Hrithik Roshan have also been announced as team owners representing Srinagar and Bengaluru respectively, adding star power to the league’s ownership.
As the ISPL prepares for its inaugural edition, cricket enthusiasts expect an exciting mix of talent and entertainment in this unique T10 cricket spectacle.
