Shreyas Iyer won the fielder of the match medal in IND vs NZ. Iyer moved to his right from square leg and took an incredibly accurate catch to dismiss Kiwi opener Devon Conway. After Iyer completed a brilliant catch, Siraj gestured to Dilip to give the medal to Iyer after the match.
Unlike revealing the name on the TV screen, Dilip played a trick and he announced Iyer’s name and asked everyone to leave the room. The entire team was surprised and Jadeja presented the medal to Iyer while Kuldeep Yadav made sure that Iyer used his photo frame.
Apart from fielding, Shreyas Iyer looked good in batting. He adopted an aggressive approach as the New Zealand bowlers continued to use bouncers against him. He managed to hit the short balls and scored 33 runs off 29 balls.
