The ISPL will be India’s first T10 tennis ball cricket tournament to be played at a stadium. A total of six teams – Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata and Srinagar – will compete for the top honors. The tournament will host 19 matches played exclusively in Mumbai. As of now the last date of the player registration is 20th Dec 2023.
There are no age restrictions for participation. As per ISPL rules, at least one player from the U-19 age group should be included in the playing eleven. For registration, interested players should visit the official website www.ispl-t10.com and complete their registration by paying Rs 999 as registration fee.
Former India selector and ISPL selection committee head Jatin Paranjape and former cricketer Pravin Amre will select 350 players for the auction. The six franchises will participate in the auction to purchase their teams. The base price for players is 3 Lakhs Rupees and the maximum price that can be spent on a player is 50 Lakhs Rupees.
“ISPL deals with the interesting part of cricket, the tennis ball game. It is a starting point for many cricketers. I think every cricketer started playing tennis ball cricket. Our endeavor is to scout for talent among the local players “I have played in midans (grounds) of cities and rural parts of the country,” said Jatin.
“Be it tennis ball or leather ball cricket, the gaming culture is growing rapidly in our country. If we look at the local players, they didn’t get the proper opportunity to showcase their skills. ISPL will provide an important platform for the talented players who dream of it.” “I am sure ISPL will bring a dynamic and entertaining format of cricket to the fore,” Jatin added.
“It is a good opportunity for the entire tennis ball community in Hyderabad. I am confident that you will witness outstanding performances from Hyderabad in this tournament. “I have been playing tennis ball cricket for quite some time, but never in my career have I seen anything like an opportunity to compete with players from across the country,” said SK. Kamaruddin, a fast bowler from the city.
